Jungle Tours

Visit to a native house

Excursion in motorized canoe, in which the jungle guide will take guests to a house of families which live by the river. In this place, it is possible to visit the place where the manioc flour is made. It is offered to the tourists some regional foods, like the TAPIOCA and the BRAZILIAN NUTS.

Ride in motorized canoe

Usually this excursion is combined with the native house or the piranha fishing. In motorized canoes, guests will take the chance to see the area around hotel, visit some lakes, streams and tributaries (during the dry season, which is from October to March, some parts cannot be reached)

 Jungle Walk

The jungle guide will take the guests to a non-flooded area where it is possible to walk for about one hour. Some jungle peculiarities, such as medicinal plants, different kinds of trees, some eatable insects, etc., will be shown and explained by the guide. Tourists will have the opportunity to see several types of vines, the rubber tree, the SAMAUMEIRA (one of the highest trees in the Amazon), etc.

Piranha fishing

Fishing made with some rustic equipment (made with bamboo) and meat as bait.

Spotting Alligator

Night excursion, in motorized canoe. Besides alligators, guests may see some animals with nocturnal habits. Regarding the spotting, the guide will take a lighter which will be used to find the alligator and paralyze it, since the lights make it blind. It is the time for the guide to take the animal with his own hands to show guests.

Sunrise tour

Excursion at 5 o' clock in the morning, in which tourist is taken by motorized canoe to some areas of excellent view of sunrise.

Visit to Acajatuba community

Visit to a community of fishers near the hotel. In that area, it is possible to buy some handcrafts, besides being in contact with local culture. The community is located around 40 minutes by motorized canoe from the hotel.

All the excursions are made around the hotel area. Each guest is informed in the check-in about his/her jungle guide, who will accompany him/her during the stay. Excursions are made in groups. Usually each excursion is made in a period of the day, which means that there are two excursions during the day ( or three if the guest goes to the spotting alligator). Some Saturdays there is a folk show at the hotel's amphitheater.

Fortaleza Attractions

Futuro Beach

Is the preferred urban beach among the Fortaleza swimmers and has an excellent infrastructure. The beach is quite crowded on weekends. Choose one within many kiosks and enjoy the sun.

Porto das Dunas Beach

This beach has a great infrastructure for tourism. Here is based the biggest aquatic park in Brazil.

Meireles Beach

Most of the city’s hotels are located along Meireles beach. This beach, although very pretty, is not recommended for bathing due to its proximity to the port.

Morro Branco Beach

It is a breathtaking beach. Here it is possible to walk through an impressive labyrinth of rocks.

Fontes Beach

A beach adjacent to Morro Branco, it is a paradise for bathers. Lots of sunshine, fresh breeze and the warm water are an invitation for leisure. Don’t miss the Mãe D’Água grotto.

Uruaú

A fascinating place with beach, dunes and lagoons, a few kilometers away from Fontes.

Canoa Quebrada Beach

Canoa Quebrada is the memory of a generation of young adventurers who, in the 1970’s, sought and alternative lifestyle, mingling with the purest Nature. These days the beach is one of the most popular in the cearense coast, without losing the humble and cozy feel of the past.

Icaraí Beach

This pretty beach is located a few kilometers from Fortaleza, on the North coast. An unmissable activity is a buggy ride in the majestic Icaraí Dunes.

Banana Lagoon

This lagoon, located near the stunning Cumbuco beach, is among the main leisure areas in Fortaleza.
